Enable the share button to keep a clean and minimal look on your site with a separate window where the visitor can share to all social networks (or the ones you choose). You can see it in action on our demo.
How to enable the share button
Follow the steps below to enable the “Share Button.”
Step 1
Click into the Novashare plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the Floating Bar or Inline Content submenu. The share button is supported on both.
Step 3
Enable the “Share Button.” You can also rearrange where you want the button to display.
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
And that’s it! By default, all of the social media networks will display in a window when the “Share Button” is clicked. You can then customize the share window. See all of the options below.
Social networks
The first thing you can customize is the social networks that appear in the share button window. Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Click into the Novashare plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the “Share Button” submenu.
Step 3
By default, all networks are displayed. But you can choose which social share buttons to display when the share button is clicked. Click on a square to enable or disable that specific network. Drag and drop squares to arrange the order in which they will display.
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Text
You can change the call to action text displayed in your share button window. The default is “Share to…”
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Click into the Novashare plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the “Share Button” submenu.
Step 3
Under “Call to Action → Text,” input to action text that you want to show on the share button window.
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Background color
You can change the background color of the call to action bar in your share button window. The default color is the Novashare purple (#4d4595).
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Click into the Novashare plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the “Share Button” submenu.
Step 3
Under “Call to Action → Background Color,” choose the color you want to use from the color picker. You can also input a hex value (example: #4d4595).
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Font color
You can change the font color of the call to action in your share button window. The default color is white (#ffffff).
Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Click into the Novashare plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the “Share Button” submenu.
Step 3
Under “Call to Action → Font Color,” choose the color you want to use from the color picker. You can also input a hex value (example: #ffffff).
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Button style
You can change the style of your share button window social share buttons. By default they are solid. Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Click into the Novashare plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the “Share Button” submenu.
Step 3
Under “Design → Button Style,” choose the style of your share button window social share buttons. You have six options to choose from (see how they look):
- Solid
- Inverse
- Bordered Label
- Bordered Button
- Minimal Label
- Minimal
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Button size
You can change the size of your share button window social share buttons. The default is medium. Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Click into the Novashare plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the “Share Button” submenu.
Step 3
Under “Design → Button Size,” choose the size of your share button window social share buttons. You have three options to choose from:
- Small
- Medium
- Large
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Button shape
You can change the shape of your share button window social share buttons. The default is squared. Follow the steps below.
Step 1
Click into the Novashare plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the “Share Button” submenu.
Step 3
Under “Design → Button Shape,” choose the shape of your share button window social share buttons. You have three options to choose from:
- Squared
- Rounded
- Circular
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
